We are proud of the positive reputation we have developed since our founding in 1954 and are intentional about future decades of continued success. Awards Cheever Construction Company was honored to be selected for two Excellence in Construction awards fromAssociatedBuilders and Contractor’s (ABC) at the 13th Annual Awards Banquet. The awards competition is designed to publicly recognize the quality and distinction of merit shop (non-union) construction projects built by Nebraska Contractors. Entries were evaluated on craftsmanship, execution/coordination, budget and scheduling, owner satisfaction, difficult or unusual challenges and safety. This serves as an example of the professionalism and dedication to quality that Cheever Construction and its employees bring to each project and client we are privileged to represent. Safety Cheever Construction Company has a strong alliance with Associated Builders and Contractor’s (ABC) Safety Consultants The personal safety and health of each employee of Cheever Construction is of primary importance. The prevention of occupationally-induced injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that we give it precedence over operating productivitywhenever necessary. To the greatest degree possible, our management and safety director provide all mechanical and physical facilities required for the personal safety and health of our employees. Cheever Construction Company requires all persons on our jobsites, (sub-contractors, owners and suppliers) to conform to safety guidelines and practices. Adherence to safety guidelines is a topic at every contractor coordination meeting held on-site. Recognition Cheever Construction Company has been involved in several projects with non-profit organizations. While these projects are seldom large in contract amount, they are huge in the need they fulfill for our community. We consider our company fortunate to have assisted these organizations and were humbled to receive a ‘Business of the Year’ award for our efforts and be publicly recognized by the Homeless Coalition of Lincoln in 2006.
